Elyssa Gallegos
Elyssa is a true child of the desert, a St. George native whose soul resonates with the breathtaking vistas and vibrant sunsets of the region. Her life is a tapestry woven with threads of compassion and an unwavering dedication to aiding others on their paths to wellness.
Her journey began as a Healthcare Coordinator at a hospice company, where she discovered her innate talent for connecting deeply with people, understanding their needs, and guiding them toward essential resources. However, Elyssa’s thirst for personal growth led her to take a leap of faith—to leave her role and embark on a quest to rejuvenate her health while delving into uncharted passions.
This bold step ignited her entrepreneurial spirit, as she carved a path towards self-discovery and knowledge acquisition. With newfound clarity and determination, she founded her own businesses, using these platforms not just for personal success, but also as vehicles for contributing positively to the well-being of others.
Fate intervened, leading Elyssa back to the sunny embrace of Southern Utah, where she serendipitously reunited with the Humphreys. Their shared values and aligned vision for empowering individuals on their journeys to health and wellness reignited a passionate collaboration.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Elyssa is a force of altruism. She dedicates her free time to volunteering, channeling her energy into meaningful projects and causes close to her heart. In the midst of her bustling life, she finds solace and joy in the company of her animals. Outdoors is where Elyssa thrives, where she is most at home. Whether she’s exploring new trails, savoring the thrill of adventure, or expressing her boundless creativity, she embodies the spirit of someone who lives life to the fullest, finding beauty in every moment and sharing that light with everyone she encounters.

I love learning. It has driven me my whole life from becoming an Occupational Therapist through continuing to pursue additional ways to help women and men with their health. I was a Candy Striper in middle school where I enjoyed making the patients smile. I discovered Occupational Therapy while in my early 20’s and was introduced first to the mental health side. I found a job as an OT aide in a hand therapy clinic and then got accepted to a program.
I attended the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, where I met Matt who was a year ahead of me in the program. As soon as I finished school we married and took jobs in St. George Utah, at Dixie Regional Medical Center. I worked there (now called St. George Regional Hospital), for 27 years.
There I practiced all kinds of OT landing in the NICU in 2004. In 2015 I received my IBCLC certification.
In 2016, I took the next step in my love of yoga by getting certified as a yoga teacher.
Shortly thereafter I learned that Occupational Therapy can have immense benefits in pelvic floor wellness and rehabilitation for BOTH women AND men.
I continued to follow my passion for learning and trained in biofeedback and manual assessment as well as many other related practices.
Discovering and sharing the benefits of proper pelvic health and how we can integrate the Yoga Trapeze into overall health practices really excites and drives me every day.
On the weekends you will often find me in my permaculture food forest or on my paddle board at the lake.

My mom was a Special Education Teacher and I was introduced to kids with special needs early in my life. One of my childhood jobs was to dance with the girls at my mom’s school dances who did not get asked to dance. The school was where I was introduced to Occupational Therapists and was fascinated by their work.
In high school I began job coaching and enjoyed working with my students immensely. After high school, I went to college in Texas, where I earned my Bachelor’s of Science in Occupational Therapy.
I have practiced OT in a number of settings but gravitated towards home health over the years. Supporting the aging population is a passion for me. I am a Certified Lymphedema Therapist and also obtained a Certification in Aging in Place.
On the weekends I like to watch sports, golf, lift weights and hike & climb in the Southern Utah desert.
